In partnership with Diane Summers and Bryant Almeida of Orange County Animal Services
Orlando, FL – This month is Adopt-A-Dog month, which encourages pet ownership and reduces the overpopulation problem in shelters. On October 26th at 12:00 PM, Representative Anna V. Eskamani will host a virtual event with Orange County Animal Services to share and discuss the adoption process, foster care, intake diversion programs, and how to get involved. A live program will be streamed at www.facebook.com/AnnaForFlorida.
Currently, the Orange County Animal Shelter is home to over 120 dogs, all of which are waiting to be adopted into loving homes. Encouraging adoption is crucial in reducing overcrowding in shelters and finding lifetime families for pets. This year alone, Orange County Animal Shelter has united 6207 animals with their forever homes, and this would not be possible without the dedicated engagement of citizens. The agenda for this event, featuring Diane Summers, the Manager and Bryant Almeida, the Public Information Officer at Orange County Animal Services, will discuss how citizens can adopt, foster, and get involved with their local shelter to help pups in need.
