Samuel Vilchez Santiago

I’m proud to endorse Samuel Vilchez Santiago for Florida House District 43. Samuel came to Florida as a political refugee from Venezuela, learned English from scratch, and went on to graduate from Princeton and Oxford, all through Colonial High School. But what truly sets him apart is what he’s done for our community since coming home. As Orange County Democratic Party Chair, he helped flip seven local seats and built a grassroots movement that proved Central Florida is ready for bold, inclusive leadership. He knows the affordability crisis, the fight for public education, and the need to protect immigrant families aren’t abstract policy debates — they’re personal. HD 43 deserves a representative who shows up with that kind of passion and expertise, and Samuel is that leader.
