Juneteenth is a historic day as it marks the celebration of the long-overdue freedom from bondage with the enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation and is a national commemoration of the formal end of slavery in the United States.
The Historic Town of Eatonville is a core part of the Central Florida community, and this is an opportunity to celebrate this day within House District 42. Representative Anna V. Eskamani cordially invites all community members to participate in the Historic Town of Eatonville’s Juneteenth Parade Celebration. “Celebrate, Educate, and Unite;” is this year’s theme and will be held on Saturday, June 17th, 2023, at 9:00AM.
