Orlando, FL – As the cost of living climbs across our state, many families struggle with “diaper need,” or the incapacity to afford essential hygiene products such as diapers. On July 1st, 2022, legislation took effect that created a year-long diaper tax holiday in Florida. Although Florida residents do not presently face the financial strain that accompanies taxes on diapers, many still navigate the burden of diaper need that impacts one in three parents.
Representative Anna V. Eskamani is partnering with the Central Florida Diaper Bank to collect diaper supplies in advance of National Diaper Need Awareness Week (9/26-9/30). For more information about the Central Florida Diaper Bank, visit centralfloridadiaperbank.org.
