Featuring bi-weekly legislative office hours in Orange County
Orlando, FL – Representative Anna V. Eskamani, representing parts of Orlando, Winter Park, Belle Isle, Edgewood, and soon Eatonville and Maitland in the Florida House, is taking her constituent services mobile throughout her district.
Throughout June and August, Representative Eskamani’s staff will be onsite at libraries across the county, ready to serve constituents needing resources and help contacting state agencies.
“We believe that meeting people where they are is critical to good governance. We saw thousands of people from across the state reach out to our office for help with unemployment during the pandemic and chances are, they also had delays with food stamps, rent, and/or mortgage assistance. Going out into our community is just one way we’re working to reduce barriers to accessing your elected officials and getting the help that you deserve,” Representative Eskamani stated.
Representative Eskamani’s office works with constituents to access assistance for food, housing, business licensing, transportation, and more. During the pandemic, her office served more than 60,000 people across all 67 counties, struggling to access their unemployment benefits. Now she says, the need has not gone away.
“The reality is, folks can’t afford to live in our state. Whether it’s rising property insurance rates, the lack of affordable housing, or inaccessible childcare, Floridians are in need of immediate relief.”
