Joined with Embrace Families to learn about Florida’s foster care system and what we can do to help.

Orlando, FL – Presently, there are 407,000 American children and youth in foster care and this May, Representative Anna V. Eskamani is joining Embrace Families to unpack what it means to be a foster family and how we can support our young people in finding a supportive and loving home. On Tuesday, May 31st at 3:00pm, the Representative will host a virtual event to bring awareness to National Foster Care Month. A live program will be streamed at www.facebook.com/AnnaForFlorida.


National Foster Care Month is an initiative of the Children’s Bureau with a goal of spreading awareness and strengthening the overall well-being of children and youth in foster care. The agenda will explore general foster care information as well as resources for advocacy and civic participation.
