Orlando, FL – With Memorial Day just two weeks away, Representative Anna V. Eskamani remains committed to ensuring our veterans across Florida are supported in every way. On Monday May 16th at 2:00PM, the Representative will host a virtual event to recognize the approaching Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 30th and highlight key state and local services available to veterans. A live program will be streamed at www.facebook.com/AnnaForFlorida.
As the state with the nation’s third largest veteran population, we believe it is the role of elected leaders in Florida to make community resources readily accessible and effective for all people, especially those who have served our country. This agenda will center on service areas such as housing, legal aid, medical care, vocational training, and more.
Christian Cochran, Public Information and Research Specialist with the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Alnita Whitt, Senior Veterans Counselor with Orange County Veterans Services, and Jay Mobley, Senior Housing and Consumer Attorney with Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association will serve as panelists.
Join us this afternoon as we discuss resources and programs available to our service members and their families in advance of the Memorial Day holiday.
