When it comes to renters, Central Florida has ranked in the top 20 most rent-burdened metropolitan statistical areas in the country and rent is going up. There has been an unprecedented amount of families on the verge of eviction or forced relocation during the COVID-19 pandemic and with delays of assistance from Florida’s unemployment system, to nationwide rental relief programs, renters need solutions fast and long term policy changes with their interest in mind.

Press are asked to RSVP with lauren.cooper@myfloridahouse.gov for Zoom link.
