Cartagena Served as a Super Volunteer During Representative Eskamani’s 2020 Campaign
Orlando, FL— Representative Anna V. Eskamani is excited to welcome Sergio Cartagena to serve as her Intern Coordinator for State House District 47!
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and raised most of his life in Orlando with a family of four generations under a single roof, Sergio became inspired to pursue public service through getting more involved in his community. In 2020 he devoted himself to volunteering on Representative Eskamani’s re-election campaign, falling in love with organizing and helping her win by an even larger margin when compared to her first race in 2018.
Sergio is now working to complete his A.A. Degree at Valencia College and plans to transfer into UCF to double major in Political Science and Sociology. He is a proud graduate of University High School — the alma mater of Representative Eskamani.
“We are thrilled to bring on Sergio to serve as an Intern Coordinator for the 2021 Spring Semester,” said Representative Eskamani. “Our intern program continues to grow, and Sergio’s contributions will be essential in our efforts of cultivating new leaders and delivering the best constituent services and issues advocacy.”
“I am honored to work with Team Anna,” added Sergio. “As a young leader I hope to expand my knowledge base of local issues to better support American families here in Central Florida and continue to grow as a public servant.”
