Winter Park, FL- August 26, 2026 – Florida Representative Dr. Anna V. Eskamani will proudly hand a ceremonial grand-scale check for $500,000 to Share the Care, Inc. on August 26. This State of Florida Fixed Capital Outlay grant will directly support the Building a Caregiver Community project. Representative Dr. Eskamani and Florida Senator Darryl Ervin Rouson are both champions for Florida’s family caregivers and were instrumental in securing this funding.

Share the Care, Inc. invites members of the press to attend this official presentation ceremony on Wednesday, August 26, at 11:00 am. The ceremony will take place at the site of the project, and in front of the newly renovated Caregiver Wellness Center. Media will have the opportunity to capture high-impact visuals, record the live presentations, and conduct one-on-one interviews with key leaders and special guests.

“Creating community is vital to all of us but especially to family caregivers.  Caregivers often feel alone and isolated when committing to care for a loved one at home.  Share the Care is building a space for caregiver wellness and support.  We are very grateful to Representative Eskamani and Senator Rouson for championing caregivers by sponsoring and enabling this much needed funding for the project!”

The Building a Caregiver Community Project creates a focal point for caregiver support for care coordination, behavioral health services, mental health wellness, and an adult day health center. By enabling caregivers to provide home-based care, these programs can reduce the strain on more expensive healthcare settings, such as hospitals or long-term care facilities, resulting in significant cost savings for healthcare systems, families, and the Veteran support community.
