Panel will focus on the past, present and future of women’s history in Florida

Orlando, FL – In honor of Women’s History Month in March, Representative Dr. Anna V. Eskamani has invited elected officials from across Central Florida to convene on a virtual panel to commemorate the status of women’s issues in Florida and to discuss progress still to come. This event will take place virtually on Friday, March 7th from 2:00pm to 3:00pm.

Women’s History Month honors the challenges faced by women across the globe—past, present, and future. It serves as a time to recognize the significant contributions women have made to society, culture, and history while also acknowledging the obstacles they have overcome.

This panel brings together elected women who currently serve Central Florida at the state level. Together, we will celebrate our achievements in politics, discuss our future goals, and explore the path forward for women in the political realm. Panelists will include State Representatives LaVon Bracy Davis, Dr. Anna V. Eskamani, Johanna López, Rita Harris, and State Senator Kristen Arrington as well as Moderator Karla Ray.

Join us Friday, March 7th, for a live discussion on the current state of women’s rights in Florida and the progress that is to come!

The event will be streamed on Facebook Live here but if you prefer a Zoom link we can provide one to you upon your RSVP.
