Dear Friend,Â
I’m thrilled to share that we’ve secured a fourth and final term in the Florida House! It’s an honor to represent you, and I’m grateful beyond words for the support and trust you’ve placed in me and Team Anna. Together, we’ve shown what it means to work for you and fight for us.
First, let’s thank the incredible people who made this possible: our passionate volunteers, generous grassroots donors, organizing fellows, interns, dedicated staff, and of course — our incredible constituents.
I also want to give a special thank you to my family and twin sister Ida.
This campaign was a community effort. Together we:Â
- Raised more than $360,000 from nearly 4,000 individual donations
- Knocked on more than 28,344 doors
- Left literature at 10,600 doors
- Made more than 19,743 phone calls
- Sent 86,098 text messages to constituents with election reminders
And beyond our own campaign, we supported other incredible local candidates along the way, like Stephanie Vanos for School Board, Carlos G. Smith for State Senate, Dr. Kelly Semrad for County Commission, and Monique Worrell for State Attorney’s office, as well as critical issues like Amendment 4. Our voter registration organization, People Power for Florida, has been on the ground organizing on college campuses across the Sunshine State, too.
For those who may not know, my journey into politics comes from humble beginnings. As a daughter of working-class immigrants, I was born and raised right here in Orlando. Public education shaped me, and I found my way to advocacy as a UCF student, later serving as Senior Director of Public Affairs at Planned Parenthood. I didn’t grow up imagining I’d run for office, but my inspiration has always been my mom, who passed away from colon cancer when my twin sister and I were just 13. Her strength drives me every day to work hard, be kind, and give without expectation.
It’s important to note that this will be my last term in the State House.Â
As Mister Fred Rogers once said, “Often, when you think you’re at the end of something, you’re at the beginning of something else.” This victory isn’t the end—it’s the start of a new chapter for Orlando and Florida.
The work is far from over. Regardless of what else happens tonight, we’ll keep fighting for our values, each other, and for a future where everyone can thrive. Thank you for your trust, your hard work, and your resilience. Let’s keep this momentum going as we build a Florida that works for all.
Onward,
