November marks World Vegan Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about and celebrating a plant-based lifestyle and its benefits on the environment and health.

Veganism is an important reminder of the role each and everyone one of us can play in protecting our environment through simple food choices. The livestock industry is a significant contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, and water depletion. By choosing vegan options, individuals can reduce their carbon footprint and promote sustainability, as well as protect our beautiful state and its resources!

As a practicing vegan herself, Representative Eskamani and her team are committed to spreading awareness around a plant-based life, and the profound impact our food choices have on our own health and the environment at large. We celebrate veganism not just in November, but all year round!

Below is a list of vegan restaurants and bakeries or spots that have vegan options in District 42. Please let us know if you have more suggestions for spots to add!
