The City of Orlando is celebrating Black History Month at the Dr. Phillips Center. This event focuses on the lasting contributions and positive influence of Black Americans in the Central Florida community. It includes live performances, special speakers, refreshments and more!
Third Annual 1619Fest: Friday, February 11 7:00PM – Sunday, February 13, 10AM
1619Fest is a multi-day event honoring Black History Month in Hannibal Square. They have yoga, live performances, and activities for the whole family!
Issa Vybe: Saturday, February 12, 8:00PM
Issa Vybe is an art presentation of American Black history held at the Hannibal Square Heritage Center. The event will include custom art, live music, and tours of some of the center’s monumental pieces during Valentine’s weekend.

All Boys Aren’t Blue is a two-day workshop event featuring a film screening, discussion, and community workshop. The short film is based on a series of personal essays by prominent journalist and LGBTQIA+ activist George M. Johnson.
7th Annual MLK Concert: “Promised Land”: Sunday, February 27, 6:00PM
Orlando is hosting its 7th MLK Concert at the Dr. Phillips Center. Guests include UCF Gospel Singers, Orlando Choral Society, and more. The event is free but first-come, first serve!

The SOKO Marketplace is a recurring event that happens every Saturday. The SOKO Marketplace sets out to be a location all year that champions entrepreneurs.
Hannibal Square Heritage Center: Tuesday–Friday: 12PM–4PM, Saturday: 10AM–2PM
The Hannibal Square Heritage Center is a collection of art representing Winter Park’s historic African-American Community. The center hosts a variety of events and has a number of excellent exhibitions on display; it is well worth a visit.
