Rally in Orlando is One of 600+ Other Actions Happening Across the US

Orlando, FL — On Saturday, October 2nd, at 11:00am – 1:00pm hundreds of Central Floridians will take to the streets in a march to demand an end to the dangerous, escalating attacks on reproductive rights and freedoms in this country and state.

The action in Orlando was organized by Representative Anna V. Eskamani and her team as part of the national day of action which will feature more than 600+ events in all fifty states. You can click here to see events happening across Florida.

This Orlando Rally comes as the Supreme Court is set to begin oral arguments this fall in a case that will determine the future of abortion rights for all Americans AND as Florida Republicans file a replicate of Texas’s Senate Bill 8 in the State Legislature for the 2022 Session. The event will feature a diverse speaker program and center on ways to take action — including contacting state lawmakers, breaking abortion stigma, and getting registered to vote.

“Florida Republicans have awakened the state by their gross, anti-reproductive health agenda,” said Representative Eskamani. “On Saturday we’ll join thousands of others across the state to march against abortion bans and for reproductive justice. All people should be able to get reproductive healthcare that meets their needs throughout their lives and we’ll be making that message clear in the streets and in the Florida Legislature.” 

To promote safety given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic all actions will take place outdoors and attendees will be asked to wear masks.
