Orlando-area volunteers will hit the doors to mobilize voters in defense of Orange County Public Schools
ORLANDO, FL — On Saturday, May 16, State Representative Dr. Anna V. Eskamani (D-Orlando) will kick off her Defend Public Schools canvass series alongside Orange County School Board candidate Susanne Peña and School Board Chair candidate The Honorable Angie Gallo. The canvass will mobilize neighbors to have real, door-to-door conversations about the future of public education in Orange County and across Florida.
As an OCPS graduate and a leading advocate for public schools in Tallahassee, Rep. Eskamani is launching this effort in response to mounting threats facing Florida’s public education system — and to elevate School Board candidates who will stand up for students, support teachers and staff, and work in true partnership with the community.
