The federal government is shut down, and many Floridians are already feeling the impact. With federal workers not getting paid and President Trump allowing SNAP to be cut off in the coming days, countless families in our community are facing uncertainty.
Now more than ever, we have to come together and take care of one another.
That’s why today, we’re working with Congressman Maxwell Forst to support a community food and supply drive to support our neighbors who are directly affected — including federal workers, contractors, and families who rely on federal benefits like SNAP.
There are several organized drop-off locations across Central Florida where you can bring non-perishable food items and household essentials. They are listed in the above flyer.
Our partners at AFGE will help deliver these supplies directly to federal workers, and we will also support local families in need throughout this shutdown.
