Orlando, FL — In recognition of National Diaper Need Awareness Week (September 15–21, 2025), Representative Dr. Anna V. Eskamani, with help from The Ver Ploeg & Marino Law Firm, successfully raised more than $12,000 for the Central Florida Diaper Bank, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting at-risk parents and caregivers of infants and toddlers.
“Diaper need is a hidden crisis that affects far too many families in our community,” said Representative Dr. Anna V. Eskamani. “No parent should have to choose between keeping their baby clean and putting food on the table. I am so proud to partner with the Central Florida Diaper Bank and grateful for Ver Ploeg & Marino’s generous commitment to doubling every donation this week.”
The Central Florida Diaper Bank, founded to address the critical shortage of diapers and baby supplies among low-income families, provides pregnancy resources, parenting education, and community assistance to ensure every child has a healthy start. Last week, Ver Ploeg & Marino Law Firm worked with Representative Eskamani to make a $5,000 dollar-for-dollar matching gift to the Central Florida Diaper Bank during National Diaper Need Awareness Week. With boosting from Representative Eskamani, $6,363 was raised bringing the grand total to more than $12,000.
“Diaper need is real, and it impacts the health and well-being of babies and parents alike,” said Sharon Lyles, Executive Director of the Central Florida Diaper Bank. “We are honored to join forces with Representative Dr. Eskamani and Ver Ploeg & Marino to raise awareness and support. This matching gift will help us serve even more families in Central Florida.”
The Ver Ploeg & Marino Law Firm has long been a community partner in addressing local needs, and this initiative reflects their continued commitment to supporting Florida families.
“At Ver Ploeg & Marino, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve,” said Stephen A. Marino, Jr., Managing Partner at Ver Ploeg & Marino. “We believe in supporting the community as a whole, and we’re proud to stand alongside Representative Dr. Eskamani and the Central Florida Diaper Bank in this important effort.”
Community members can continue to drop off new diapers, pull-ups, and menstrual products at Representative Eskamani’s district office, located at 1507 East Concord Street, Orlando, FL 32803, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
