Dear Friend,

Today marks Women’s Equality Day, commemorating the ratification of the 19th Amendment and the generations of women who fought tirelessly for the right to vote.

While we celebrate this moment in history, we also recognize how much work remains to ensure full equality and justice.

In Florida and across the nation, women’s rights are consistently under attack. From the complete rolling back of reproductive rights, to ongoing battles for equal pay and representation, to the defunding of essential economic safety nets — the fight for true equality is far from over.

That’s why for more than a decade I’ve worked alongside advocates, organizations, community leaders, and everyday Floridians to defend and advance women’s rights. Starting from my early days at UCF, to my years with Planned Parenthood and serving on multiple community boards, like the League of Women Voters, and more.

We will never stop fighting for reproductive freedom, stronger workplace protections, domestic violence prevention, and policies that honor the dignity and leadership of women in every community.

On this Women’s Equality Day, let’s honor the trailblazers who came before us by recommitting to the fight ahead. Because equality isn’t a one-day celebration — it’s a daily struggle that requires all of us.

Onward,
