Dear Friend,
We wanted to let you know about a special event happening on Saturday, April 12th.
Presented in collaboration between the Orlando Museum of Art, the Ismaili Council, the City of Orlando’s Office of Multicultural Affairs, and our legislative office, a special family-friendly Nowruz event will be hosted on Saturday, April 12th, from 3:00 – 5:00pm and we invite you to join us!
Nowruz, which translates to “New Day” in Persian, marks the beginning of the Persian New Year. It falls on the spring equinox and is celebrated by millions across the globe. As a first-generation Iranian-American, Nowruz has a special place in my heart. Not only is it a holiday that I grew up celebrating with my family here in Orlando, but it signifies a time of renewal, rejuvenation and hope — virtues that are sorely needed today.
This event is free of charge, learn more and RSVP here.
With gratitude,
