Dear Friend,

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a visionary leader whose courage and commitment to justice changed the course of history.

Dr. King’s dream was not just a call to action—it was a mandate to confront injustice wherever it resides. On this day, we reaffirm our shared responsibility to carry forward his fight for equality, dignity, and opportunity for all.

This weekend, we proudly joined the City of Orlando and Town of Eatonville in celebrating Dr. King’s legacy at their MLK parades. Walking alongside our community served as a reminder of our collective strength and the enduring power of love and service.

As we reflect on Dr. King’s teachings, we are reminded of the steep hills we must still climb. From battling book bans and defending our right to tell the full story of history to fighting for policies that uplift every Floridian, the path to progress demands resilience, courage, and action. The challenges we face today require all of us to be steadfast in our commitment to justice.

Dr. King once said, “Out of the mountain of despair, a stone of hope.” Together, we are shaping that hope—through small acts of service and bold acts of leadership. As we navigate the 2025 Legislative Session and a new administration in the White House, we will continue to stand firm against injustice and build a brighter, more equitable future.

This coming Saturday, we invite you to join us in action.

Sign up for our community cleanup in Eatonville and help us continue Dr. King’s legacy by serving our neighbors and strengthening our communities.

As we work to defend civil liberties, create economic opportunity for all, and lead with love, know this: we are a part of the solution—and so are you.

Together, we are the stones of hope that will shape the future.

Onward,
