Volunteers Will be Helping the Nonprofit with Daily Needs and Supply Organizing
Orlando, FL – Representative Anna V. Eskamani and the Samaritan Resource Center (SRC) are back with a Community Volunteer Day event! Join us on Wednesday, August 28th, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for a volunteer day to support this impactful nonprofit organization. SRC will provide all the necessary supplies to assist in sorting through clothing and food donations.
The Samaritan Resource Center is a registered nonprofit and formed through a partnership with several churches in East Orlando. They’ve assisted over 2,500 homeless individuals by helping them access essential services such as food stamps, SSI/SSD, and Assurance phones as well as housed 157 individuals in 2023. They’ve also established partnerships with Goodwill’s Job Connection Center and Lakeside Behavioral Center/Aspire, offering additional support like haircuts, clothing, and spiritual guidance. Participants can RSVP at bit.ly/TeamAnnaVolDay2024 and are asked to dress comfortably, wear closed-toe shoes, and bring a reusable water bottle.
