Dear Friend,

Florida House District 42 is proud to encompass the Historic Town of Eatonville! In 1887, Eatonville became the first town in America to be organized, governed, and incorporated by African-American citizens, serving as a nationwide pillar of progress.

Last year, we joined community advocate Chasman Barnes in hosting two in-person “Policy to the People” town halls. This year, we will once again join community leaders to host 2024’s Policy to the People Town Hall, which will include discussion of the past legislative session and local updates too.

Join this conversation featuring local policy experts to unpack the most recent Florida Legislative Session, which will be on Monday, April 29th at 6pm from 7:30pm.

  • Genesis Robinson, Political Director, Equal Ground
  • Tashana Joseph-Marc, Senior Policy Analyst, Florida Policy Institute
