Dear Friend,
Today is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Day, a time to honor Dr. King’s incredible service and leadership — and a time to recommit ourselves to the fight for equality.
This weekend, we were proud to walk in both the City of Orlando’s and Town Of Eatonville’s MLK Parades.
Reflecting on the work of Dr. King, I am reminded of our deep love for community and our lasting commitment to nurturing change. Whether fighting against book bans in the state legislature or pushing for policies that ensure economic security for all, Team Anna is in constant pursuit of a better, brighter state that begins with us.
No act of service is too big or small and as we navigate the 2024 Legislative Session we’ll continue to share ways for you to take action with us!
Which reminds me, be sure to sign up for our community clean up in Eatonville for this coming Saturday too.
As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. declared in his 1963 “I Have A Dream” speech, we always have the power to create “out of the mountain of despair, a stone of hope.”
And as we defend our civil liberties, help build a more economically stable future for all, and lead with love, we know that the Annaverse is one of those stones; and so are you
Onward,
Rep. Eskamani
