Dear Friend,

Today is Veterans Day — a moment to honor the contributions of our military service members, and recommit ourselves to ensuring the health and well-being of our veterans.

There are close to 1.3 million veterans in the State of Florida and we are humbled by their bravery and sacrifice. But as lawmakers, it is not enough to say we support veterans, we have to act on that commitment too.

That’s why we fight every day for affordable housing, increased access to health care (including mental health), sexual assault prevention and have worked to support Floridians through economic hardships. Many Floridians who have contacted our office for constituent services, both workers and small business owners, are veterans. I am also proud to serve as a member of the Orlando Mayor’s Veterans Advisory Board.

If you are looking for ways to celebrate Veterans Day, today is the City of Orlando’s Veterans Day Parade. We invite you to join us at 11:00am and details can be found here.

We each have the power to stand up for our Democracy and pay homage to those who have served our country through meaningful advocacy and policy changes.

We’re proud to do just that in House District 42, and thank our veterans and their families today, and every day.

Onward,

Rep. Anna V. Eskmani
