Dear Friend,

I’m not sure if you heard the news but the Florida Legislature — after gerrymandering Congressional seats — is now on a path to gerrymander our Judicial Circuits.

That’s right. In June the Speaker of the House wrote a letter to Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Carlos Muniz asking for there to be an assessment of Florida’s 20 circuit judicial system, claiming that consolidation could make our judicial system more efficient.

In reality, this is an attempt to redraw Florida’s judicial circuit map so Republicans can put the voters they want in the places they want them — otherwise known as gerrymandering.

This Thursday at 7:00pm EST we’ll be joining the Courts Matter Florida Coalition alongside Broward State Attorney Harold F. Pryor to talk about this and share ways you can get more involved too.

Click here to learn more. It’s critically important that we protect our Judicial Branch from gerrymandering. Pease spread the word and consider joining us.

Onward,

Rep. Eskamani
