Orlando, FL – In honor of Women’s Equality Day, also known as Women’s Suffrage Day, Representative Anna V. Eskamani will host a virtual town hall alongside Representative Rita Harris, Representative Johanna López and Representative LaVon Bracy Davis. Set for Monday, August 21st from 5-6pm via Zoom and Facebook, the event will center on the role of women in politics and the status of women in Florida.
Over 100 years since the 19th Amendment granted some women the right to vote, we have made huge progress as women in America, and yet there is still so much work to do. From protecting abortion rights and LGBTQ+ healthcare, to ending domestic violence and eliminating the wage gap, we call on our community to continue fighting for the future of women and girls.
Representative Eskamani will lead the discussion and we’ll be taking audience questions, too.
