Orlando, FL: Last June, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, eliminating the right to have an abortion for millions of Americans and further fracturing the nation’s reproductive health landscape. In the midst of this all-out assault against bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom, pro-abortion state legislators from all 50 states worked tirelessly to push back against harmful restrictions and strengthen abortion access for all Americans.
SiX’s Reproductive Freedom Leadership Council — the largest network of state legislators working to protect and expand abortion rights — chronicled these battles happening in statehouses across the country with Fractured, a five-part docuseries spotlighting legislators in action during one of the most impactful periods in recent American history.
Filmed over the course of the 2023 legislative session, this first-of-its-kind docuseries features intimate interviews and behind-the-scenes access, taking viewers on a journey across 10 states and capturing our current moment in which extremist politicians are restricting and banning abortion in spite of the majority of Americans who support abortion access.
Episode 3 is focused on the fight for abortion access in Florida and North Carolina and will be screened at the beginning of tomorrow’s day of action and canvass to defend abortion rights.
