This event will take place in partnership with community advocates and policy experts

Eatonville, FL – In February, State House Representative Anna V. Eskamani joined community advocate Chasman Barnes to host an in-person “Policy to the People” town hall that set the stage for Eatonville residents ahead of the 2023 Legislative Session. Today they will host a follow-up event at the Denton Johnson Center (400 Ruffel Street, Eatonville, FL 32751) from 6:00PM – 7:30PM to discuss state-level priorities following the legislative session, engage Eatonville residents, and share further resources for civic engagement.

Established in 1887, Eatonville is the oldest Black-incorporated municipality in the United States. Due to the redistricting process, Representative Eskamani is now serving the historic town of Eatonville in the Florida legislature as of November 2022.
