An in-person event alongside community advocates and organizational leaders

Eatonville, FL On Tuesday, February 28th, from 5:00pm – 6:00pm, Representative Anna V. Eskamani will be hosting an in-person town hall meeting in the Historic Town of Eatonville alongside local community leader Chasman Barnes as well as organizational partners, Sadaf Knight from the Florida Policy Institute, Genesis Robinson from Equal Ground, and Kim Johnson from Florida Impact to End Hunger.

Established in 1887, Eatonville is the oldest Black-incorporated municipality in the United States. Home to the famous novelist Zora Neale Hurston, Eatonville has stood as a shining example of Black excellence and is an essential pillar in Central Florida and of the Black community. After Florida’s new redistricting, Rep. Anna V. Eskamani is now representing Eatonville’s historic town in the Florida legislature. To learn more about the town’s vital needs and building civic engagement ahead of the legislative session, Rep. Eskamani will be hosting this town hall on Tuesday, February 28th.

We are excited to bring together community partners and to hear directly from our Eatonville constituents. Bringing policy to the people is always our MO at Team Anna, and I can’t think of a better way to empower more everyday people to get plugged into the legislative process.” Representative Eskamani said.

Team Anna values and supports the voices of our constituents. This upcoming town hall will be an event where our team can listen and engage with Eatonville community members and respond to their concerns. During the town hall, Representative Anna V. Eskamani will discuss state-level priorities alongside Chasman Barnes in advance of the 60-day legislative session that begins on Tuesday, March 7th.
