Hosted in advance of Legislative Session and amid national attacks on abortion rights

Orlando, FL 50 years following the landmark Roe v Wade decision, we are now a nation without a constitutional right to abortion. In the six months since the SCOTUS decision to overturn Roe, we have witnessed monumental attacks towards  abortion access in Florida and across the country. It’s no secret that Florida is poised to bring forth more restrictive bans on abortion, with rumors even circulating of a Special Session to ban access entirely.

Representative Anna V. Eskamani will kick off 2023 with a virtual event to set the scene for organizers, constituents, and directly impacted people on abortion access and outline what’s at stake for Florida.

This event will unpack current abortion restrictions in our state, share what we can anticipate in the new year, and discuss the responsibility each of us has to end abortion stigma, demand access to care, and grow our movement, including during national rallies hosted on January 22nd.

On January 2nd from 6:00pm to 7:00pm EST, Representative Anna V. Eskamani will present a virtual abortion debrief on Zoom and Facebook Live. Participant questions can be submitted here.
