Veterans Day is a holiday that recognizes the brave individuals who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. This occasion is commemorated annually on November 11th to coincide with the anniversary of the end of World War I in 1918, originally referred to as “Armistice Day.” Veterans Day reminds us to 1) honor those who have passed while serving our country and 2) to express gratitude towards those living veterans who have served in the military.

We are humbled to give our thanks to millions of US veterans and families for their sacrifice, courage, and unwavering commitment to shared values like liberty, justice, and freedom. History teaches us that these brave Americans are the best among us, and their selfless service inspires our team every day to work towards a stronger and brighter state for all.

Our team has compiled a list of events this week within the new House District 42 to honor these everyday heroes. We encourage residents to attend these programs in the days to come while also committing to champion these service members year-round.
