Featuring a discussion about historic women from Central Florida.

Orlando, FL – In honor of Women’s Equality Day, or Women’s Suffrage Day, Representative Anna V. Eskamani will host a virtual discussion dedicated to regional history and our ongoing movement for equality. This event will take place on Friday, August 26th at 10:30AM.

Over 100 years since the 19th Amendment granted some women the right to vote, we continue to tackle an immense amount of work in order to strive for true equality. From protecting abortion rights and transgender healthcare to ending domestic violence and eliminating the wage gap, we call on our community to continue pushing society forward for the future of women and girls.

Representative Eskamani leads the discussion about historic women from Central Florida joined by Shannon Elliston and Noelia Irizarry-Román from the Orange County Regional History Center. Join us tomorrow as we discuss the fight ahead and honor those who came before us.
