August 5th marks International Beer Day, where we recognize the great local breweries that serve our community here in House District 42! Drink around town at these eight small breweries and bars.
Believe it or not, there is a global celebration of beer, taking place all around the world in pubs, breweries, beer gardens, and in our own backyards. It’s a day for beer and to make a toast to the local brewers that make this beverage happen.
Our Central Florida community has a vast range of breweries and bars, especially in House District 42. Today, we want to recognize their hard work and commitment to the world of beer and celebrate not only the drinks we have with friends, family, and even strangers, but also the ones who make the magic happen behind the brew.

Whippoorwill Beer House & Package Store in Orlando, Florida In the heart of The Milk District, this independent, locally-owned bottle shop and taproom is a great spot to celebrate International Beer Day! This local hotspot is the place to go if you’re looking for some original craft beer and a wide selection of independent American and International Breweries in their ever-changing bottle shop.
Hourglass Brewing in Orlando, Florida Hourglass is a family-owned, award-winning craft brewery in the heart of the Hourglass District that not only serves the local community with a collection of beers, but also works with local businesses, and even local bands, to uplift the local community. Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company in Orlando, Florida This independent craft brewery and tasting room is located in the historic Ivanhoe District of Orlando. Ten10 Brewing Company in Orlando, Florida Since 2015, Ten10 Brewing Company has uplifted the locals with some of the best hand-crafted beer. This spot is located off of Virginia Drive, so get ready to explore other small businesses in the area. Ten10 Brewing Company is the spot to be if you’re looking for the traditional American food of jumbo wings, hot dogs, and more and, of course, their wide variety of local pale ales, porters, IPAs, and ciders.
Redlight Redlight Beer Parlour in Orlando, Florida Redlight Redlight is an all-original spot to check in the Orlando beer scene. Opened in 2005, their mission was to offer an eclectic selection, but also provide new flavors to the local community that once had been banned under Prohibition. Redlight Redlight offers a constantly rotating selection of 24 craft draft beers, two hand pumped beer engines, and over 250+ packages available for in-house or take home. The Ravenous Pig Brewing Company in Winter Park, Florida Known for its delicious food, The Ravenous Pig also has a brewery and beer garden. Sanford Brewing Company in Maitland, Florida The second location of Sanford Brewing Company is located in Maitland, Florida, not far from Lake Lily. This spot is definitely a must-go as it is the center for southern hospitality.
