Dear Friend,
I am excited to share with you our recently announced Legislative Committee Assignments!
I am proud to say that our new Speaker of the House has re-assigned me to the Ways & Means Committee. This powerful and important committee is where we’ll continue to fight for a tax system in Florida that works for all, instead of one that favors big corporations and rigs our economy against everyday people.
In addition to Ways & Means, I’ll be serving on the Civil Justice & Property Rights Subcommittee, Joint Administrative Procedures Committee, Professions & Public Health Subcommittee, and Regulatory Reform Subcommittee.
All of these committees are definitely wonky. But they focus on topics that touch all of our lives, like regulations of our business community, guardianship, family law, and health sectors — along with addressing public health issues such as communicable diseases, opioid misuse, and regulation of medical marijuana.
I will keep you posted as we approach the end of 2020 and the beginning of the Legislative Session in the New Year. Also, please click here for a quick review of Congress’s current COVID19 relief deal.
Onward,
Representative Anna V. Eskamani
