Dear Friend,
Today is Giving Tuesday, a day that encourages people to do good and give without expectation. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
Before I ran for office I worked full time in the nonprofit sector, and during the COVID19 pandemic we’ve collaborated with nonprofits to meet the needs of everyday people. From housing security to feeding unemployed Floridians, to getting diapers to families in need– the nonprofit sector is a leading partner in meeting the needs of everyday people.
Today we encourage everyone to participate in Giving Tuesday– whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.
