Eskamani will focus her campaign team on delivering necessary public health information
ORLANDO, FL — During this time of uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus, Representative Anna V. Eskamani will be temporarily suspending campaign field activities in House District 47, and will focus her team on delivering necessary public health information.
“The health of our community and volunteers is priority number one, and we do not want to put any individual at unnecessary risk during these unprecedented times,” said Representative Eskamani. “Having worked in public health at Planned Parenthood, I know how important it is to focus on prevention, reduce panic, and gain access to necessary care. Right now Team Anna is focused on delivering critical public health information to our district, and we encourage folks to visit the Florida Department of Health’s COVID-19 landing page for real time updates and our own website for localized updates.”
Representative Eskamani is closely monitoring updates on the Coronavirus and will make further decisions to cancel or postpone additional events based on the best available information. For now, Representative Eskamani’s Re-Election Campaign Office Opening is still set for March 29th and our First Ever Persian New Year Celebration in Orlando City Hall is still set for March 30th. However, both events are subject to change and April’s Legislative Session Debriefs may be hosted online to reduce health risks.
“We have a huge election on the horizon, and elections taking place across the state next week! Please use best hygienic practices while voting, and early vote if you can to reduce traffic at polling locations,” added Representative Eskamani. “Moments like this are a reminder of why we need earned sick time, health care access for all, mental health resources, and a well-funded Department of Health. We will strive to meet the needs of our community and are readily available to anyone in House District 47 who needs support.”
