Winter Park, FL — Democratic candidate for Florida House District 47 Anna V. Eskamani has earned the endorsement of Polly and Thaddeus Seymour.
“We are excited that Anna Eskamani is running to represent our community in Tallahassee,” said Thad. “We strongly support her candidacy, with confidence that she will bring the values, intelligence, energy, and integrity which is so needed in our government today. Anna is working energetically to present herself and her ideas, and we are confident that others will share our enthusiasm as they meet and hear her.”
Polly and Thad are familiar names in the Winter Park community, as Thad served as President of Rollins College from 1978 to 1990. Before making Florida their home, Thad attended Princeton University and the University of California, Berkeley, and studied English Literature at the University of North Carolina where he received his masters and doctoral degrees. He was an English professor at Dartmouth College and later served as dean at Dartmouth. From 1969 to 1978 he was president of Wabash College, coming to Rollins College after that.
Anna had the following to add in response to this latest endorsement: “I could not be more honored to have the endorsement of Polly and Thad Seymour. The positive mark that these two leaders have made in Winter Park and at Rollins College is undeniable and everlasting. Their trust in me speaks volumes to the movement we are building, and their insight will help guarantee our victory this November, too.”
Dr. Rita Bornstein, President of Rollins College from 1990 to 2004, is also a supporter of Anna’s campaign. See attachment for graphic too.
