Anna Secures Permanent Tax Break on Children’s Diapers & Adult Incontinence Products

During the 2023 Legislative Session, Anna worked across the aisle to secure this tax break that will save Florida families close to $100 million annually.

Meet Representative Anna V. Eskamani!
Anna, an effective advocate.
Born and raised in Orlando and a daughter of immigrants, Anna was overwhelmingly elected to the Florida House in 2018 and won her re-election bid in 2020 and 2022. Since sending Anna to Tallahassee, she has demonstrated an ability to hold politicians accountable while still building consensus across party lines. A bridge-builder, Anna led the charge to increase arts and culture funding statewide by 800% her first year in office and in 2023 secured a permanent tax break on children’s diapers for Florida families. She successfully secured funding for local needs, including human trafficking prevention, local fire station, water infrastructure projects, homelessness prevention, and increases for teacher pay. Anna is a leading environmental advocate, pushing forward a clean-energy agenda while pushing back against polluters. She is tackling some of the state’s most complex issues, from affordable housing to health care to economic mobility. Anna is also a long-time advocate for women’s rights, and has fought tirelessly in the legislature for LGBTQ equality, gun safety, and home rule. Learn more about Anna here …
