Dear Friend,
I am proud to announce that this past weekend we were awarded the Florida PTA Legislator of the Year award!
I would not be who I am or where I am today if it wasn’t for the incredible educators and support staff that got me into reading, math, technical theatre and supported me after our Mom passed away to cancer in 2004.
We have so many real problems to solve in education like the exodus of teachers and kids who are struggling to meet benchmarks.
We don’t need culture wars and we don’t need disinformation to distract us from working together to help empower all of our children, to understand our nation’s history (so we don’t repeat it!), and attract the best educators.
Let’s focus on solving those problems, not creating new ones.
