Dear Friend,

Today is Veterans Day — a moment to honor the contributions of our military service members, and recommit ourselves to ensuring the health and well-being of our veterans.

There are close to 1.3 million veterans in the State of Florida and we are humbled by their bravery and sacrifice. But as lawmakers, it is not enough to say we support veterans; we have to act on that commitment, too.

That’s why we fight every day for affordable housing, increased access to health care (including mental health), sexual assault prevention and have worked to support Floridians through economic hardships. Many Floridians who have contacted our office for constituent services, both workers and small business owners, are veterans. I am also proud to serve as a member of the Orlando Mayor’s Veterans Advisory Board.

We have also sponsored bipartisan legislation to support our veterans, and I am proud to serve on Orlando Mayor’s Veterans Advisory Board.

This past weekend we were honored to walk in the Orlando Veteran’s Day Parade, too.

We each have the power to stand up for our Democracy and pay homage to those who have served our country through meaningful advocacy and policy changes.

We’re proud to do just that in House District 42, and thank our veterans and their families today, and every day.

Onward,
