The Home Farm is a small business making sustainable packaged home and beauty products, founded by Eren Tatari, a professor and urban farmer who prizes a zero waste, minimalist lifestyle for her and her family. Amanda Sosa Stone, co-owner and CEO, fell in love with the company when her battle with Lyme disease led to a need for clean products. Located in Winter Park, this brand sells health-conscious products with clean ingredients and a zero-waste ethos, hoping to inspire their consumers to live a healthier lifestyle. See below for a profile on their business and the meaning of sustainability in our Central Florida community!

What does sustainability mean to you? Sustainability is about making choices that benefit not just ourselves but also our planet. What are some of your customer’s favorite services/programs from your business? Currently, we offer a subscription to make our customers’ lives easier. Continuing to order products with ease with minimal plastic ensures we are keeping the mission up. For instance, customers can bring in their glass bottles to our retail store and sister shop, Grounding Roots in Winter Park, for recycling. We’re also developing a subscription program where customers can send back their empty bottles for recycling and receive a discount on their next order. These efforts reflect our dedication to sustainability and customer engagement.
What are your personal tips for those who are looking to transition to zero-waste practices? Start small and be consistent. Begin with simple swaps like reusable bags, bottles, and containers. Educate yourself about the products you use daily and seek out zero-waste alternatives. At The Home Farm, we’re committed to providing products that help our customers make these transitions easily. Remember, every small step counts towards a larger impact.
What are your future goals for expanding your zero-waste initiatives? We aim to continue innovating our packaging solutions to further reduce waste. Expanding our zero-waste product line and collaborating with other sustainable brands are key goals. We also plan to increase our educational outreach, helping more people understand the importance of zero-waste living and how they can implement it in their daily lives.
