Featuring Tessa Petit, Executive Director, and Renata Bozzetto, Deputy Director, of FLIC
Orlando, FL – Representative Anna V. Eskamani will host a virtual event in partnership with FLIC on Tuesday, June 25th from 3:15PM – 3:45PM in honor of Immigrant Heritage Month, which is recognized throughout the month of June.
According to the American Immigration Council, one in five residents in Florida was born in another country. Immigrants are the backbone of our state’s economy and culture, yet unfortunately, can often face undue hardship in access to services like documentation, healthcare, and other basic needs as simple as obtaining a driver’s license.
Tessa Petit and Renata Bozzetto of the Florida Immigrant Coalition will join Rep. Eskamani in this virtual program to discuss local services, programs, and resources and share a deeper perspective on the experiences of our immigrant communities here in Central Florida. The Florida Immigrant Coalition is a statewide coalition of 83 member organizations and over 100 allies that works together for the fair treatment of all people.
The agenda will explore the programs that the Florida Immigrant Coalition offers, bring awareness to the rise of legislation attacking our immigrant communities here in Florida, and share resources for those watching. Join us in recognizing Immigrant Heritage Month across Florida.
