Dear Friend,
We wanted to take a moment to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving, and to remind you that our Legislative Office will be closed tomorrow and on Friday. We’ll be back open on Monday, November 30th, at 9:00am but will be continuing to check email and keep our social media platforms up to date throughout the long weekend.Â
We know that this year Thanksgiving will be incredibly challenging. Not only do many Floridians continue to struggle in making ends meet, but socially distancing means we can’t be with loved ones in the same ways we’ve celebrated in the past.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) stress that the safest way to celebrate is with members of your household. This link offers new ways to celebrate Thanksgiving safely and offers precautions to take if you still decide to gather with others.
I also encourage to give what you can to nonprofits in your area, and to check in with neighbors too. We are in this together.
